Soulmates
#1
Heart
Hello my friends,

Here is another composition inspired by an extraordinary lady who is very dear to me... I can safely say she has put a spell on me. Blush

Without further ado:

Soulmates

Last night we met again; last night I was reborn
Once more, basking in the soft glow of your presence;
Oh… if only I could have stayed near you ‘til morn…
Parting was unbearably painful, the silence

     Felt heavy on my grieving heart as I left you,
     Torn away from your embrace by reality,
     Cold and harsh as always. Our moments are so few,
     Every single minute is so precious to me…

We talked, our inner selves opening timidly
And then, imperceptibly, our souls recognized
Each other, becoming intertwined so tighly
We felt as one, complete, and thus I realized

     I had always known you, through countless ages past
     And a myriad possible futures yet to come…
     For this joyous reunion to happen so fast,
     Karmic forces must have influenced the outcome.

And now, as the day lingers, Your nearness I crave;
To drink deeply from your lips the nectar of love,
To swim in the depths of your clear eyes, I shall brave
The last of my fears and the obstacles thereof…

     The day lingers still, and yet, dama hermosa,
     The thought of you makes the waiting tolerable;
     Until then I shall dream of you, amapola,
     Sweetest bloom, so lovely and adorable.

With every subsequent piece, I continue to feel touched by how delicately you string together such images of sweet sensibility. My heart is fluttering. It is no wonder I often compare your thoughts to drinking a smooth, yet rich, wine. Sweet on the tip of my tongue, yet deeply warm and intoxicating.

I was going to remark that your writing always gives me a brain boner, but I think Soju put it much better, so I'll just second her comments.
