I had to make an account just to comment on how terrible this excuse is.
Unless you know them personally as a customer the devs lives are not anyone's business, you would rightfully tell someone to leave staff alone if they where receiving personal attacks but you cannot then turn around and use that as an excuse as to why the customer is receiving a bad product.
The bottom line is that nothing is being made the justifies people paying for premium. How this is resolved is not the customers problem.
