Sorry for the big post, but when I start to analyse from a sociological point of view, I lose track of time and dispersed me a bit.

i like how you divided this....the first part show the base line...the second part points at the problem...third part explains why the problem happens..and last part, a solution on how to avoid such a problem...this is just beyond respect....i wanted to up vote it but i think i reached a limit for today....if there was a "feature" option...then this comment would be it.

i think you should (or could) make one of your (old) dreams come true .....
... and perhaps really write a book .....  ;-))
(perhaps about roleplaygames and the real life and their sociology aspects.... or something like that)
........ if you have the time and feel the urge to do this .......
