Many times have I been wrong
and stuck my foot inside my piehole --
but patient have you been so long
I cannot fathom you an Arsehole.
Explorer -- crafter -- architect
in worlds where I am circumspect
and gifted with the best of humor --
hence I regard you as a mentor.
Where I see a chaotic storm
you see the world with such a shrewd eye
including this sonnet in which I
imperfectly matched Pushkin's form.
Formidable is your wit -- and yet
the kindest cad I ever have met.
